A few years ago, we decided to make a long-held dream come true and moved from Germany to southern Sweden. Annette comes from the Lower Rhine region, while Christoph grew up in Saxony. We were both drawn to Sweden by its forests, lakes, sense of freedom and the opportunity to create a life with a little more space and tranquillity.

Södra Rågeboda quickly became more than just a place to live. It felt like somewhere we could slow down, enjoy nature and create something special to share with others.

Annette feels most at home outdoors and has a great love for plants, animals and the changing seasons. Christoph enjoys good design, welcoming interiors and spaces where every detail has a purpose. Through his work in media and as a professional sparring partner, he also knows how valuable a peaceful environment can be when you need to think clearly, work creatively or simply regain some perspective.

Together, we created Rågeboda Lake House as the kind of holiday home we would love to stay in ourselves: peaceful and close to nature, yet comfortable, modern and carefully considered.

We chose every detail with everyday comfort in mind, from the high-quality sleeping system and underfloor heating to the spacious bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. The large windows bring the lake and surrounding landscape into the house, while the private south-west-facing terrace is a lovely place for a quiet breakfast, an afternoon with a book or an evening by the water.

We live in the house next door and are always happy to help with questions, local tips or anything else you may need. At the same time, your privacy is very important to us. The Lake House has been positioned and designed so that you can enjoy your stay undisturbed, with your own terrace, garden area and peaceful view across the lake.

For guests who would like to combine their stay with work, writing or a personal project, Rågeboda Lake House is also ideal for a workation in Sweden. Fast internet is available throughout the house, and we can provide a monitor and ergonomic office chair on request.

We speak German and English and can also communicate well in Swedish.

For us, hosting is not about simply handing over a key. We want our guests to feel welcome, comfortable and completely at ease from the moment they arrive.
